Where Keystair is different

There’s nothing to download; you just open Keystair in your browser, and when you plug in a USB keyboard, it connects pretty quickly.

Keystair’s prices are lower, and there’s a free stage. Playground’s license agreement lists a monthly plan at $24.99, a yearly one at $149.99, and a lifetime membership for $349.99, which includes two years of access to its copyrighted songs. A Keystair Pro subscription costs $12.99 a month or $79 a year, and there’s also a one-time $199 plan. Because every Keystair song is in the public domain, nothing on that plan runs out.

Keystair is available in Spanish as well as English, while Playground’s App Store listing shows only English.

Where Playground Sessions is the better pick

Playground offers video lessons led by real teachers and pop songs by artists such as Adele and Taylor Swift, arranged at three levels of difficulty. Keystair has neither. If playing familiar songs is what keeps you practicing, that’s a big advantage.

Playground Sessions is a trademark of its owner. Keystair isn’t connected with it.
